My main symptom is joint swelling and pain - a bit like rheumatoid arthritis. After diagnosis, I also realised that my almost permanent mouth ulcers and 'sensitive' tummy (lots of things I couldn't eat without getting the runs) were also due to gluten

Im really worrying about it and it might not even be this - can you remember how long the blood tests results take to come back - Dr seems to think they take longer than average and im not even booked in for bloods till Friday

Gosh my main symptoms pre-diagnosis were : the obvious stomach pains, loose bowels, diahorrea, bloating etc to the uncommon constipation (which has only recently been accepted as a symptom), my skin had gone really dry and sandpaper like I was had lots of blister like spots. I wouldn't say that I was constantly ill, but I wasn't 100% either. I didn't have energy or get up and go.

If you are UK based you most likely will have to have a biopsy of the villi to confirm diagnosis in which case once you get a positive blood test result do not give gluten. Continue eating gluten until you get the green light to give up.
