well, we had more skin pricks today and dd2 18mo has tested positive for allergies to peanut and sesame.

We were told that as she weighs 9kg she can't have an epipen until she reaches 13kg.

If she has a reaction we have to do piriton, wait, 999 and more piriton. Doesn't seem right to me??

glad to hear u got the eppipen, i hav asked for one time and time again but keep getting treated as neurotic mother.

18 month old has multiple allergies, dairy, eggs, soya, peas beans lentils, some veg i think and recently found out peanuts aswell, but never been exposed b4 so am very worried. he reacts very quickly with hives reddnes and itching, the last time he swelled up so called ambulance, but dont know what caused it.

he is small and has eczma too this is so sad and stressful, i am scared of feeding him new things.

after waiting for appiontment from when 9 months old he finally saw allergist at 15 months and i feel they just dont care about the risk that if he did have a serious reaction, what would happen without an eppipen. i just dont see why not give us 1 just in case.

did u manage 2 get the eppipen just through ur gp ?

hi cakenomore sorry our internet went down thursday and came back last night.

At the hospital they said we would have to contact the gp to ask if they would precribe the epipen which they did- no questions.

Paediatric outreach team also helpful.

I wasn't happy with the 'piriton and ambulance' route either. What if you are nowhere near a phone eg on a beach or somewhere.??

Keep fighting for a pen I think.
