What have apples and carrots got in common???

I'm allergic to apples. Afew other fruits too but mostly apples. If I eat an apple, my whoel mouth itches like mad, my throat swells a bit and my neck, gums and lips itch like mad.

I've just eaten 3 raw carrots and am getting that tingling feeling........

What's that all about?!?!?

Im allergic to kiwi fruit it makes my ears tingle and itch like mad my mum was too i havent given them to my 2 year old dd yet just in case.

Our allergy to latex is a mild type 1 reaction at the moment - but was getting stronger with each reaction before we were tested and knew what to avoid.

Ds has swelling under the skin, allergic floppiness, drop in blood pressure. No wheezing though, but the drop in blood pressure is worrying as putting him in the car seat to take him to hospital is risky.

the words allergic conjuntivitis and lips and tongue swelling has dropped out of that list.

salicylates ?

im allergic /intolerant to apples too the have a substance called salicylates in them i did a link to some info the other day on a thread about allergy to oranges/ citrus if you can find that
