fungus allergy and moldy cheese

ok this may sound silly but if you're allergic to fungus, penicillin and the like, can you eat mouldy cheeses safely?

I'm allergic to penicillin and mouldy cheese makes my mouth itchy, that's just my experience though - nothing scientific.
