Spotty (eczema type) rash on face - alternatives to Aveeno?

DD 1O month has developed mild eczema on body (easily dealt with with aveeno)and face. Face is spotty round mouth area and Aveeno not helping with the spots (and i think could be making it worse) although it has helped with the dryness - can you help?

DD1 had this as a baby and still does to a degree (when it started she was entirely dairy free and was allergy tested which came back with nothing obvious. I am aware its an allergy/intolerance to something but she shows not other sign of dairy intolerance. Was BF til 10 months (mix fed from 6) but also coincided with weaning so could be anything (at first i thought it was just having her face covered in wet food all the time).

So any suggestions as to what to put on her face as a barrier that is less likely to irriate? is Epaderm potentially less irriating than Aveeno (though I know if not a natural product either)?

thanks for any help.

my baby is 2.5 months so younger than yours but she had a spotty rash on her face that was found to be eczema. The GP prescribed many things that did nothing, then we were prescribed a cream called Cetraben and it cleared up in about 48 hours after applying it 6-8 times a day. May be worth a try.

It may not be a intolerance or allergy, there are lots of reasons for excema. DS always got excema round his mouth/face when he was teething.

Thanks all. She is teething atm. The aveeno has got rid of eczema - still spotty either side of her nose on her face but not quite as bad as before. Someone else has recommended Neals Yard Calendula and Oat lotion so I may try that as a more natural alternative.

Update to this - doing well with Neal's Yard Calendula and Oat Lotion. Not as rich as the Aveeno but doesn't seem to result in the same spotty face (and doesn't have the nasties in it).
