short story - Been in hospital all week with ds2 4 mths infected eczema. on iv antibiotics and just started steroid regime which seems to be helping, i woul say 30-40% improvement.

finally got dermatologist apt troday and he prescribed aureocort. whilst simultaneously telling me it was risk free for 4 days but it might be best to stay overnight just to ensure he doesnt react

old brusque rude consultant who had NO time for us & refused to discuss current regime.

v nervous about using this ointment....

My son had infected eczema, awful. I used some steriod cream for a while on him and I found that it cleared the skin up while I was applying it, but no long term gain.

Comfry oil was the best thing I found for him, (£3 in holland and B). Cleared his skin up better than all those creams they told me to put on him. I was really surprised it worked so well.

Hope he gets well soon, it's so horrible for them.
