Eczema gets very red after we apply cream but overall there is an improvement. Is it ok to continue?

DD2 has very dry eczema on her face. We were using hydrocortisone and emulsifying ointment as per medical advice but recently pharmacist recommended Lipikar Baume AP and gave us some samples to try.

When I apply it dd's face gets very red for a couple of hours but then there is a noticeable improvement.

Is this a normal reaction or should I check it out before using it again?

Thanks

I would continue applying the cream but defo check it out> You could google the cream name and find out what reactions there are likely to be. Does the increased redness bother her?

Thanks cruisemum. The redness doesn't seem to bother her at all and when it wears off her skin is definitely less dry and uncomfortable.

I chacked the website and didn't find anything. I'll check with the pharamacist when I'm next in there.

in that case, i would keep using it. When ds has bouts of eczema it always flares up when he is either in the bath or hot. Maybe when your dd's skin is touched/massaged the same occurs with her???
