my ds is dairy allergic and i have just found out that ecover washing up liquid, which i wash all out stuff up with, incl his bottles, has milk whey in it. Great. Suppose it should stop using it, even thorough rinsing might not be enough. Any ideas? And anyone know a good washing up liquid that does not have too many chemicals in it? Environmentally friendly would be a bonus.

hello ruty id say that i find ecover products harsh on my skin even though theyre natural -think there more environmentally friendly than hypoallergenic-although you would think this is the same its not.
im an agent for a company called neways which is american based- and has products which are both env. friendly and kind to your body -no bad toxic chemicals(like sodium lauryl sulphate) etc -they have a web site but i think you need to be a member to buy from it-cat me if you would like more info dont worry no hard sell-anyone else interested pls cat me too
if i dont have any neways hand and dish soap i use a perfume free wash up liquid called surcare

just had a look at the neways site you can buy it online now at a discount from the rrp -membership for a fiver -guess you dont need to cat me now but you can if you want to know any thing else about it !

Stop using it, the constant exposure to even this small amount could extend the length of the allergy.

Best to stop using it. Have never thought to check our washing up products so thanks for the warning.

will stop. annoying, i've got rid of dairy in everything and here it is in regular use. will look at neways - thanks lunachic.

Thanks ruty and lunachic -

I use ecover washing up liquid and my ds is severely allergic to milk!! I would never have thought of checking that. Crikey.
