how can i find out if i have a food intolerance?

having had no success with doctors, i am still feeling ill and have begun to wonder if its something i am eating.
can anyone tell me where i could be tested and find out?

If you don't have a sympathetic GP with enough budget (most of us then), you can go to Holland and Barrett, who have visiting testers. You normally have to book a little in advance and pay upfront (it's pricey, so you need to be pretty sure you're intolerant of something). The test they used on me was a bit strange, but it does seem to have worked out and it isn't in the least invasive. It's a fair bet you already know at least one intolerance anyway and you could try exclusion to try your theory out, which would be a lot cheaper. On the other hand, it can take a while to feel better - in my case, it took about a month - and it does lift the spirits to think that you aren't completely barking (well, not about that anyway).

I went to a company called Allergy Test UK. Where abouts do you live? This company have testers dotted around, but they tend to be grouped in a few areas, such as london and the midlands.

I went to see the lady who started the company. She is based in Somerset and her name is Sam Thompson. I think she is FAB and the difference in me is amazing since following her advice. My energy levels are much higher, my skin and hair look great and I've lost weight (always a bonus!).

They use a testing method called Bio-Electronic Regulatory Medicine (BER). Its non-invasive, no needles. I'm sure there are people who haven't found this method useful, but I swear by it.
