It paid for my DS to have allergy testing when his chest was bad.

Ring your provider and ask - I've always found them very helpful

DH's work BUPA would have covered allergy testing for DD - we just couldn't find a convenient place that did it locally, so ended up going NHS.

The vast majority of personal health plans don't cover preexisting conditions, so you couldn't just take it out, and get the tests done though.

Our Bupa cover paid for dd's skin prick tests and RAST blood tests, no problem. Our policy covered initial testing for diagnosis but not treatment/medications.
As someone mentioned you couldn't take out the policy to cover a pre-existing condition, they get copies of your GP records to check!

Ive only just joined and imagine its all a bit late now! But I do this for a living as a broker. Happy to answer any questions as we offer BUPA etc.etc.

Depends on plan but some do cover this.

HSA or Simplyhealth as it is now known will pay half of testing costs.
