Gluten-free party bag?

ds2's best friend needs a 'gluten and wheat-free diet'.

I checked with the venue and they said they would prefer us to provide the food and their chef would prefer it. But when I phoned ds2's parents, they said the best thing would be for her to bring a 'party picnic' with her, so that's simple!

So now I'm wondering about party bags. Obviously she can't have the cake.

Do sweets/chocolate have gluten or wheat in?

Not sure, cant you do party bags with little lipglosses and crayons/bangles/ ect for the girls and "boys" stuff for the little men, waterbombs/ crayons/bouncy balls/ect just add cake for kids that can have , and omit for those who cant.... primark does box of mini lipglosses for £3, asda is quite good for "party favours" for kids , think they come in packets of ten..... poundland for bargan "jewellery" . - i lurve poundland .

most foods these days have panels on the side that say whether or not they contain wheat or gluten. Things like chocolate buttons don't but anything with crispy bits in probably does (like maltesers, crunchie etc.)

Or if you would like her to have some form of cake and her parents are happy, check out the Free From section in supermarkets - I can highly recommend Mrs. Crimble's double choc brownies! (wheat and gluten free).

Both sainsbury's and tesco's do dairy and gluten free sweets. You can smarties that are definetly milk free and I suppect gluten and wheat free from health food shops.

You'd be amazed at what they do make which is wheat and gluten free!
