Just found I am allergic to chillies what can I replace them with?

(to eat!) I am vegetarian if that helps.

My mouth & lips swelled up and scared me , piriton worked but don'ty want it again!

can't think of a replacement but just as a thought ... maybe you should be wary of peppers as they are in the same family.

How about trying szechuan pepppers. They aren't hot but they do give a nice sensation. or go with things like ginger and grated horseradish.

Thanks , It was a big reaction for me (lips and mouth swollen) as I have only had tingling and itching for different allergies before.

This one was weird though because 3 days earlier I had had a pizza covered in chillies with no reaction

why not have a proper patch skin test to find out exactly what it is that you reacted to?

What you replace them with depends ENTIRELY what you are cooking. They aren't that essential though - you can use different spices in curries and even in "chilli"

MP-Pasta sauce , on pizzas anything I can add them too!

It was my own sauce made from my own chillies that caused the reaction
