Is there such a thing as a non-dairy ice cream?

DH hates soya products, is lactose intolerant, but very much missing yoghurts, ice cream etc. Is there anything readily available (besides lacto-free yoghurts which he has tried already)?

I don't really buy online (no credit card) and can't imagine it's cheap to buy ice cream by internet anyway, so any advice would be welcome - even how to make my own with lacto-free milk!!

Hi - i'm back again...DH has been hogging the laptop the last two nights.

Well i found Swedish Glace in Sainsburys (and Tesco, and Asda...it's been there all this time and i assumed it was normal ice cream!).

DH and i and the kids tried it...and we like it better than dairy ice cream

In fact, we thought there might not be enough to go around all 5 of us, and bought a triple chocolate ice cream at the same time - but the kids didn't like the choc ice cream as much and complained about it!

Thanks for the help everyone

Might try the smoothie idea if i get a proper food processor at some point.
