where can i purchase aveeno products

anyone use aveeno products for babies eczema,
i ordered some from America and paid £35 for a small tube and it seems to be working wonders. Bit expensive thogh, tried the local boots but they dont stock them.
Any ideaswhere i can buy some from, i live in the Yorkshire area.

Can't you get it on prescription? My DD has dry skin (not excema, though) and they prescribed 4 massive tubes of the stuff.

our boots have them but i am wondering if i got the right sort, as it only cost a fiver, and people keep telling me how expensive it is! it didn't work for my ds anyway

DS2 had it prescribed by the GP. Don't pay for it if you din't need to.

my doctor wont prescribe it i have already asked.i use the soothing relief moisture cream and creamy wash seems to be really smoothing his skin out.(touch wood)

You can get it from Ocado. Possibly normal waitrose?

Frances, I think it's all the same stuff - they do bath sachets, and creams. I think you can only get the creams and bath oils here.

I got a great big tube of the body lotion in dec and I think it was about 3.95, cause I was getting the hand cream for £1 dearer until dh pointed out same ingredients in both
I love it

you can bulk buy it in Costco - not expensive or from any chemist - they will order it for you if need be - the cream is great for flare ups and the lotion for maintenance. Been using it for DD since she was 4 months - with great effect. Your health visitor or GP can prescribe it for you. So no need to spend a fortune getting it from the states.

ps you get 200ml bottles of emollient for the bath.

so what's going on there? i paid about five or six pounds in boots for a good sized tube?

I've bought it in tesco and boots. With all the body moisturiser things, like nivea Dove etc.. Not in baby or medicines aisles. £5-6

I bought the Bath and Shower Oil in our Boots last week and it's a small Boots, it was on offer about £6 odds.

Am going to ask the GP for it when I next go. I phoned a week ago to ask for a repeat prescription for DD2's creams, was told I have to come to the surgery so I did, I asked for Diprobase, Hydrocortisone cream (last time I got ointment and it's like vaseline yuck), Oilatum for the bath and Nizoral shampoo as it's the only thing that works for her hair, was told to come back 2 days later so I did and only got half the prescription, wa told to come back tomorrow, which I did to be told "oh you already had a repeat prescription for the Oilatum and Hydrocortisone on the 9th" erm no I didn't. So now I have to see the GP with DD2 to discuss, next appt this Thursday. Got the two items on the prescription and one is for Oral Mouth GEl, WTF??? And I have to keep dragging DC in and out of the surgery.

Sorry for the rant this is why we have the Aveeno, os far I am liking it, it's not as greasy as Oilatum which coats everything in oil, leaves the two that don't have ezcema's skin really soft.

is the adult aveeno cream differnt from the baby creams??
i cant seem to find the baby range even at ocado?

From their UK website here there doesn't seem to be a baby range - maybe that is an american thing?

Our DD has had the Intense Dry Skin range on prescription since she was a tiny baby.

I have bought the baby aveeno stuff on ebay before.

We get the adult stuff on prescription but once they gave us the baby suff instead so you can possibly get the baby stuff on prescription. The adult stuff seemed to work better though, as I noticed the baby stuff had milk protein in it and DS is allergic to milk.

I went back to the doctor today, I asked for the Aveeno bath oil and got it on prescription it was coming up as £8 odds on the GPs PC though.
