great news for you. I'd still steer clear of Cross and Blackwell though - my child reacts to them. Any other brand we've tried seems to be OK although we tend to stick to Heinz or Sainsburys.

he is 12 .

Tatt, have seen some nut warnings on some baked beans..........havent read cross and blackwells labels yet.

did you know that a hospital food challenge costs around £1200?

Oh congratulations. Beans on toast / on jacket potato is such a staple for ds1 when eating out (classy huh), I'd hate to be without it.

Oh williamsmummy Im so pleased for you and your ds. Beans are a fab addition to his diet and a really handy 'safe' option for eating out (yep we're classy too)! Btw you always give me brilliant advice!

hadn't realised a challenge was so expensive, athough because of the time involved it wouldn't be cheap. No wonder they rarely offer challenges.

There's no nut warning on the baked beans but it's happened more than once to us (one reaction anaphylactic, the other was put down at the time to contaminated hands because nuts in the beans seemed too unlikely) and also to someone else. However it may be lentil contamination rather than nut. C & B assure me there is no nut in their factories. I didn't ask about lentil as I hadn't realised at the time that might be a problem.
