Slight rash in allergic ds. Would you be worried?

My ds is 3 and is allergic to egg and intolerent to dairy following a nasty tummy bug last year.

After tea tonight, I noticed that his face was bright red and just put it down to the fact that the kitchen was fairly warm.

Then at bathtime, I noticed that he had a blotchy patch across the front of his chest that went from one side to the other.

We had homemade pizza for tea, and his was made with goats cheese which he has been able to tolerate. He has had pizza many times before with no reaction.

Does this sound like an allergic reaction to you? I gave him piriton just in case and he seems otherwise ok.

I guess you can suddenly become allergic to stuff that was previously ok.

My DS is allergic to milk and egg. He had a rash that sounds similar after his tea recently. I didn't ever get to the bottom of what caused it but assumed it was an allergic reaction. Sounds like you did the right thing giving piriton, hope your DS is ok now. Could also be the heat I guess but the piriton won't have done any harm.

thanks for your reply strawberry. Well, he seems right as rain this morning. I think I will just mentally note this and mention it at our next allergy appointment and keep a really close eye if he has either of these things again.

Actually, I have just remembered that he also had a new flavour of Alpro soya yogurt. Must check the packet...
