Icing cake with dark chocolate for dairy allergy...

I'm going to ice DS1's b'day cake with melted dark chocolate - can I shape the cake and ice it the night before? will the chocolate stay fresh enough (and keep the cake fresh enough) until the next day?

It should be fine. At least no-one has ever complained when I did the same w. ds1's cakes and they never hung round for long either, once the candles were out
