DD was exclusively Bfed til a week and a bit off six months, and all through then as well as my pregnancy I was eating all kinds of dairy food. Until about 2 weeks ago (she is now 8 months) she has had no skin problems, no snotty nose problems and no tummy troubles at all, and has seemed to be a mega healthy and resilient baby (for which I feel v v lucky as dh's family is full of asthma and hayfever as is my mum).
I had been giving her only veggies, rice and pulses to eat and when I saw the HV she said I should try meat and dairy because her weight gain had slowed (although she was on 91st percentile anyway so hardly a big problem).
I very very stupidly, after being so careful, gave her some chicken and cheese at the same time in her next meal, and bingo, a rash across her chest and one ear that lasted about half an hour.
Chicken seemed to be fine after that so I've been giving it to her everyday now, but after a few days I tried a tiny bit of yoghurt in her food, and it was fine twice, then on the third go, she got nettle rash all over her chin and ear again.
So she has been referred to the allergy clinic by the doc, but we can't get an appointment for a few months, so...my questions are...
-
Do you think she will be fine with b-milk, meat (no fish, I'm scared she'll be allergic to that too), veggies, fruit, lentils and rice? Is there anything else she could have?

There are loads of posts on here about babies being allergic to dairy through their mum's milk, so do you think I should give up dairy too, or if she has been fine with me eating it up til now will it be ok to carry on with it?

Am I being OTT in totally avoiding all allergenic foods until we go to the clinic after a couple of small rashes or not?
