Stage 2 of the milk ladder

We're coming to the end of stage 1 of the milk ladder with my 2 year old - delayed starting for various reasons. She's sailing through this and I expect she'll be on stage 2 on Wednesday. I made her muffins from the recommended recipe this evening and they are bland. Oh so bland. I can't see her eating even half of one.

Just wondering what others have used for stage 2? And how much? One of the reasons we never got anywhere with the milk ladder before is because she got bored of eating the same thing so if rather try to vary it if I can, although that makes it difficult to judge how much milk she's getting each day.

Thanks for any tips.

How long are you spending on each stage?? When we did it, I just tried her with each things
2 or 3 times and then moved on after a few days if we didn't get any bad nappies. She did only have a mild intolerance though so might be different with a stronger intolerance. She did also eat very bland milk muffins and loved them so don't worry too much about that! She ate them for lunch even after she was way past that stage!! Babies and children have a lot more taste buds than we do, they die off as you get older.

@Imenti a week at each stage. I thought that was what's recommended but might have made that up. She probably only has a mild intolerance too. She's had a couple of accidental exposures that didn't seem to affect her. I tried the savoury version of the muffins about a year ago and she wasn't interested so this time I made apple ones but we'll see if she likes them! I just don't want to be caught out with nothing else to give her if she won't eat them
