Oral Food Challenge

My 16 year old was diagnosed with an allergy to brazil nuts aged 5 and has carried Epi-pens ever since. She has been tested annually and until recently has always reacted. Last year she did the food challenge in hospital and managed to eat a whole home baked brazil nut biscuit over the course of the morning with on a slight bit of tingling in her mouth so we agreed to continue baking and eating them at home. During her annual check up yesterday I asked about her eating raw Brazil nut as she has only ever eaten cooked and apparently this does change the proteins in the nut so we are going back in to hospital for a food challenge with a raw nut. I just wondered if anyone has any experience this and if you/your child had a different reaction to cooked versus raw nuts? I’m incredibly nervous to go through the process again! Thank you in advance.
