He had hives all over his lips were swollen he was clawing at his neck
Two doses of piriton and 30 mins later it had started calming down.

The worse thing is he only had safe food.

Sounds so frightening for you (and him too of course)

And no idea what caused it?

alibobins · 10/06/2008 21:30

None
He had cheese and ham sandwich and apple?

was on here 2 days ago and woman's child had had allergic reaction to apples general gist was that it was chemicals apples sprayed with don't know if this helps

williamsmummy · 11/06/2008 18:53

allergy to apples is fairly common ( OAS) linked to tree pollen allergy.

however was the sandwich cross contaminated in any way?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 11/06/2008 18:57

Bread cross-contaminated with nuts? Sesame seeds etc?

alibobins · 11/06/2008 19:21

He is usually fine with bread and has had toast this morning with no problems.

Been fine all day so I'll just have to put it down as one of those things.
