Sorry, this is probably going sound a bit gloating (and not fair on those parents out there who are banging their heads against the brick wall of allergies) but I just had to say that my ds was re-tested this morning on everything and got the all clear on dairy!!!! He is also just borderline on egg, so they are going to do the "cake" test in hospital soon and if all goes well with that then he can start having egg too. Both allergies were pretty severe. He is still massively allergic to nuts, but other than that, all good news here.

Hope this gives others hope that they CAN grow out of it. x

I recently got a clear prick test to Paracetamol - then they proceeded to feed it to me, thought it hadn't had any effect so discharged me. Got home, took one look in the mirror and went back...

So even if test clear, allergy not necessarily clear... Sorry

I'm really pleased he's grown out of them, how old is he?

Thank you - he is four. I made a little pizza for him tonight with a small amount of cheese and he loved it.

Sorry to hear that yours didn't go so well Turnip. They just did the skin prick test, which was frankly hell (13 tests in all). By the time we made it back to the waiting room there were an awful lot of worried looking people in there. My ds can scream for England.
