Hi all!!

so I’m very much at my wits end, as the GP doesn’t seem to give a hoot about my sons discomfort with his silent reflux I thought id try out for help on here.
so, he’s been prescribed Sma Althera for a possible cow’s milk allergy. It’s like water consistency though and he has silent reflux!! He has some infant Gaviscon from the doctors, but one sachet in his 4oz bottle isn’t enough to thicken up the milk and therefore address his issue with reflux. Yet two is too many for only 4oz of milk according to the instructions and really gives him awful sore tummy and constipation! Help please as we all are suffering horrendously with our sleep!! From a desperate mummy x

Hi. We didn't get on with gaviscon either for pretty much same reasons as you. Then we tried carobel, and it was a game changer. Once I worked out the correct mixture for my LO, lol. I've seen other people recommend magic mix too. Hope that helps x

Thank you @Tbird5 for the advice. Today is a different day altogether for my little one.
myself and my husband decided to take matters into our own hands and try 4oz milk with 1 sachet Gaviscon and a half scoop of Carobel (I know it’s not advised to use both but the milk is so runny as you know). And, touch wood, it seems to be making my boy more comfortable! Good old Carobel 🙂
