Epipen and prom dress

So I'm feeling fairly chuffed that we got a preloved prom dress for my DD for £35 this week. One positive just before the GCSEs. Now the question of how to carry her epipen at the prom. The suggestion is to strap it to her leg, rather than carry a bag about and possibly lose it. I had a look online, but couldn't see anything suitable. I'm also wondering about it overheating. Does anyone have any advice? TIA.

She’ll probably want to take her phone so she’ll already have to carry something so a small clutch bag would probably work?

Hi, could you fit a hidden pocket in the side seam possibly? Obviously depends on the style of the dress - could you post a picture of it?

How does she normally carry stuff other than in a bag? Why is she more likely to lose it?

Toddlerteaplease · 04/05/2025 10:35

Clutch bag to match the dress. She’ll need her phone, lipstick, etc, anyway.

They'll all have little bags for phones, lipgloss etc
Get one with a wrist strap or a shoulder chain/strap which will be less likely to get lost, but surely at 16 she can manage a bag?

Just get her a little bag that matches. One with a little handle she can look her wrist through. Surely teens these days all w t bags for their phone make up etc 🤔

Ask on your local area facebook page if anyone can fit a pocket into it with a popper to secure it - there’s bound to be someone who has the skill for a modest fee or even to do it for free to help a young lady out

Thanks all. It's a slim dress made of satin like fabric, so a pocket wouldn't be an option, sadly, as I'm a big fan of pockets and I could do that myself if dress was different shape. DD didn't want a big skirt. The sales lady said be careful about a bag as it could mark the dress, unless all soft cloth. I hadn't thought about bag for phone etc. So bag it is in that case. She's never had a little bag, hence my thought of her losing it. She prefers a big bag out of school and obs school bag is massive.

Yes definitely a small handbag. Dd had prom last year and had a small sparkly handbag with a long chain she could wear cross body. Similarly she had a satin type dress and the bag was made of satin type material so the back was smooth and had nothing that would catch. It was just big enough to fit phone, EpiPen and antihistamines.
