I have just posted this thread in the weaning section but someone suggested it might be a food intolerance - perhaps gluten.

I have tried him on creamed porridge, baby rice, pureed carrots etc etc but he just sicks up everything and anything that does stay down results in a runny bum!

Any advice - midwife sad it is not lactose intolerance cause he drinks formula milk no problem (whey based)

OK why not take him back to basics- pure formula feeds for 3 days/ a week so you know he's getting enough fluids, then SLOWLY introduce one thing at a time so he has just that for a day or two (might seem boring but it works!) gradually build up.

Could just be his little digestive system isn't quite ready for solids (despite the text books!!)

Thanks, I tried him a month ago and figured he was not ready so I waited a couple of weeks and tried again - smae thing happened. Tried him recently and same again. I am not Overly concerned cause he is a good weight still (although he has dropped a bit recently) Just thought I would get some advice that it is nothing more sinister than his tummy not being ready yet.
His sister was chewing on roast dinners by this age!!!
