Rash on baby - allergy?

Hi all,

Our 16 month old has had CMA and been on special formula since 6 weeks. We have been doing the milk ladder with him and he’s progressed well. This week (Tuesday & Wednesday), we tried using semi skimmed milk with his Weetabix and he seemed to tolerate it with no break outs. On Wednesday night he was a bit clingy in the evening and had a disrupted sleep. On Thursdsy, wife took him to the doctors as he woke up upset and unsettled. Doctor said his ears and throat were a bit red and gave us Ibuprofen to try as she thought it was a viral infection. Thursday night/Friday he developed this rash (see pictures.) He was off his food on Thursday and only fancied toast but his appetite is getting back. He had a good settled sleep last night, been playing all morning and ate all of his Weetabix this morning with coconut milk. He seems to be a lot more settled than he was on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Could the rash be a delayed reaction to the semi skimmed milk or viral?

Initially I was thinking hands, foot and mouth but his hands and feet are fine

just looking for some reassurance from other parents. No judgy comments back please

thanks

Hard to tell, HFM can be in those areas but the spots don't look classic HFM. Did you get to step 6 on the ladder (ie milk) before you tried the weetabix?
