DD has just had jet black liquid poo after a plate of chips. She is possible coeliacs but has had no wheat or gluten for at least 2 weeks, there is something else as she still nearly always has runny poo but I can't work out what it is.
Anyway she does eat a lot of potatoes is it a poss?

Are you sure they don't have gluten in - are the bought or made?

Don't panic, but I would give NHS direct or your GP a ring. Jet black poo needs to be checked out in case it contains blood.

Are you Wheely, wheely, how does it manifest itself.
She doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything, I have disposed of nappy now.

I get migraine from them. Was allergy tested years ago and this was one of the things that came up ! Do tend to get a sicky migraine rather than headache migraine with them.

Wheelybug · 02/05/2008 17:54

I'm not actually sick but feel queazy etc.

She does tend to be sick quite a lot. Is fine though, definatly not feeling ill. with her big sis she was actually ill dd2 just gets runny poo and severe nappy rash (ie bleeding and weeping sores, although she has not had that since off gluten).

Just had another nasty nappy, more very dark brown than black this time, def didn't look like blood.
Could have been gluten in chips although dd1 who is coeliacs didn't react.
