Hope it goes well.

I got ridiculously nervous for ds2's appt a couple of weeks ago with allergy doc.... ds2 was fine!

madcol · 29/04/2008 18:11

Do you know the anti-enodmysial Ab result?

NaughtyNigella · 29/04/2008 18:18

Gastro bod thinks it is 'gastritis'. Has prescribed another course of omeprazole (previous dr did give her only a weeks worth. this dose is higher and she is to take them longer)
Also took more blood to recheck Ttg, Iga and Ige. The Ige wasn't tested before.
So we wait for another 3 months by which time this will have been going on nearly a year.

lackaDAISYcal · 29/04/2008 18:21

when i had my diagnosis four years ago, the initial consultant appointment was to discuss symptoms and to arrange the biopsy and colonoscopy I was having done at the same time. They took more bloods as well at that appointment as well iirc, but can't remember what for. I assume your DD's appointment will be similar.

NaughtyNigella · 29/04/2008 18:30

No no mention of endoscopy. I'm such a wuss i didn't ask about it so am left to moan about it here

lackaDAISYcal · 29/04/2008 19:37

if they were doing the endoscopy at this appointment you'd have been told that she should be nil by mouth, in case she vomits when they put the tube down. This will probably be so they can take (probably yet another) history from you and explain any forthcoming procedures.

Try not to worry; kids are much more resilient than us at these things; your DD will be fine.

I hope you get some answers soon.

lackaDAISYcal · 30/04/2008 13:08
