I have recently found out I have developed a dairy allergy aged 41.

My diet has always had a lot of dairy in it and I am honestly really struggling with the change.

Basically I developed severe eczema, and after eliminating dairy it disappeared within 24 hours.

I gave up dairy 3 weeks ago my body feels great but each time I accidentally have some I get a more severe reaction- so for example -
I had fried chicken and had awful stomach issues within the hour. Now when I have something very low dairy (that you wouldn't imagine had it in there I can immediately tell as I will get really gassy / bad stomach)

So I have become a slave to food labels, I like eating meat and fish but all labelled non dairy are vegan meals which isn't my bag.

I do a lot of sport so need 120gms of protein daily and I am struggling to get it in.

Eating out is just depressing as is food shopping- as I just can't imagine what to have etc

Also eating out is fraught with problems as the places forget about butter so often wrongly say things are dairy free

I know it's a small problem but it is really getting me down-
I bloody love cheese and oat milk lattes are not the same!

Any ideas or tips? Reccomendations for substitutes?
