A close friend has just given birth and I’d like to bring over some bulk meals she can freeze. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! She is not celiac, but doesn’t eat gluten.

You can make pretty much anything you'd usually make, just be careful when reading ingredient lists. Things that can catch people out are stock cubes/pots (look for ones labelled GF), soy sauce (look for Tamari) and 'may contains' in spices. GF flour subs well for thickening sauces. GF pasta doesn't keep/freeze well so don't use that!

Becky Excell's blog is good.

Instead of batch cooking ciukd you get her some nice GF treats. She should appreciate those, especially if she's BFing Wink

Nairn's oat biscuits are good.

Also the recipe for chocolate brownies on the back of the freee plain flour packet is really good.

If she's bf then she'll want a lot to drink and quite a lot of fatty food, so anything in those categories will be appreciated. chocolate and caffeine will keep the baby awake.
