so my LO (8wo) was prescribed Aptamil Pepti 1 today for a suspected cows milk allergy.
So far, she’s only had two bottles, however I’m wondering if anyone can relate to our immediate observations.
- She is hungry a lot more frequently. Typically she would go 4/4,5 hours during the day, and then after her last feed at night, she’s sleep for 6.5/7 hours, however since this afternoon she is showing hunger queues every 3/3.5 hours (just when I was getting used to longer stretches of sleep). Just to note, she also had carobel which will thicken up the thin formula!
- Despite being hungry more frequently, she’s done with her bottle after around 3-4 ounces, which on her normal formula she was draining 6oz! But now she just falls asleep (which hasn’t happened on a bottle in weeks).
- She is extremely gassy, and almost looks uncomfortable with it.
- She is IMPOSSIBLE to wind, I mean, literally won’t wind throughout or after. This concerns me as she also has reflux!
they’re just the things I’ve noticed immediately and wondering if anyone else experienced these things. Are they normal and do they settle?
