Hi, my son has been placed on SMA Alfamino and has been referred to the NHS dieticians. He has his appointment in December when he’ll be 4.5 months old and from what I can see this is a group session on weaning and following a cows milk free diet. Does any one know what happens after this? Do I do the milk ladder alone or will we have further appointments/tests with the dietician? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I haven't had a DC with CMPA luckily although I do have it myself.

I would t expect this to be the only session, I would want to do the milk ladder with the support of a Paediatrician at 12 months plus. You could always ask in the session what further support is offered Wink

My son was years ago but I got a phone call as she wasn't in clinic on my appointment day, and she sent some leaflets

To be honest I switched off when she told me I would have to give up b/f
