Grass allergy? DS has a rash on his wrists after playing outside.

My DS1 suffers from eczema and asthma so we are waiting for hayfever to start really. Yesterday he played outside and was rolling on the grass. When we came in he complained his hands were sore and he had a rash on his wrists. Today it is still red and very dry and sore. I am presuming this is a grass allergy?
My question is what do I do to cope with Summer? When he is wearing shorts and T-shirts he is going to get it everywhere - but he's a 3.5 yr old boy - I can't stop him playing outside! Should I get some piriton and see if that helps? Or is there something I can get from the Drs?

I think you should go to the doctor. My mum has that and the more she touches grass, plants etc the worse it gets. When she gets the rash it can last up to a week and apparently is itching so much she could scream (and she is 58)
