Skincare: dairy and gluten

Hello, first time posting in this thread. The dermatologist I've been seeing for adult hormonal acne, suggested giving up dairy and gluten. I've heard of this before. Not that it's a miracle but could help. What I'm asking is how one actually does this on real life. I know I could go for gluten free options for lunch, but the dairy (apart from obvious cheese, milk) is there hidden dairy I should be avoiding?

Yes there is hidden gluten and dairy in groceries where you would not expect it to be. Prepare to become an expert label reader.

Study every label. Fortunately, in the UK at least, dairy and gluten ingredients will be in bold. Stay away from anything 'made' that does not have a detailed label. You may, eventually, be able to wear such things, but until you have clarified whether cutting out gluten or dairy helps, you need to be pedantic.

I highly recommend joining the Coeliac Society so that you can easily look up whether a food is GF, and places you can eat out.

Most mayos contain dairy, unless they are vegan. IMO the best DF mayo is Helmann's full-fat mayo. BTW, eggs are not dairy (many people think they are).
