My DS at weaning had a bad reaction to milk, nettle like rash on face, we then tried egg and he had a big red rash that got worse so eventually had an appt with an allergen doctor at the hospital who told us basically to avoid both and come back at 18 month. He also has quite bad eczema So a couple weeks ago he had a blood test to test against milk and egg, I rang the department as hasn’t heard anything and she said the dr is on annual leave but you will receive a letter in a few weeks. I asked her if she could tell me the results and after speaking to an another doctor she said the bloods were all clear but couldn’t tell me much else in regards to what happens now .

Does this mean he likely has outgrown the allergies? Should I wait a few weeks before receiving the letter before introducing? Or would it be a case of following the food ladders?

Thank you

I’d wait for the letter personally and also only introduce one at a time, if it isn’t an allergy it may be an intolerance. Good luck. How old is DS now?

Thank you for your reply, I think that’s what I will do. I was certain with the milk as he had a really bad hive rash all around his mouth and arm but the egg I was never certain on so who knows. He’s now 18 months ☺️
