Hi, my 17 year old started itching her thighs and lower legs that much she’s covered in bruises. We tried antihistamines and cooling creams to ease it but it’s not getting any better, now her shoulders and top of arms are starting to itch aswell. There’s no obvious rash or dry skin. Has anyone experienced this?

I hope this still isn't a problem but in case it is....

I had itchy no rash or dry skin. I went to the Dr and they tested my liver function as itching is a sign of liver disease.
I also stopped using fabric softener, washing capsules (used powder instead), shower gel and liquid shampoo and conditioner. I now use solid shampoo bars and only use soap on smelly bits avoiding my arms and legs unless they need a clean. The itching went completely!

In the meantime time don't scratch! I found applying firm pressure to the bits that were itching helped and pressing a cold cloth on it too.
