Right, well I feel a bit embarrased posting this here when all you lot/your DCs have 'proper' allergies to food etc but I'm fairly certain I'm allergic to fake tan .

I have tried the dove and vaseline moisturiser ones, st tropez, sally hansen, about a dozen brands over the past few years but whenever I use them I start itching/stinging immediately and come up in hives about 5-6 hours later, its like my skin is dissolving IYSWIM, there is blood and pus involved also...
However I have a wedding in the summer and a lovely cream and grey dress I want to wear with bare legs but being a very very pale strawberry blonde my legs have a very odd looking blue-green tinge to them. or a delightful mottled corned beef look.
soooo I want to know
a) are any other mners allergic to fake tan - I think its the chemical which changes the colour of the skin
b) what can you use instead?

ps - for a one off i would use a sunbed but at 15 I had to have a mole removed after it went funny, having never been on a sunbathing holiday without factor 50 slathered on every 30 mins by my very conscienious father (red head) so its probably not a good idea

Think benefit do a tint that is like the old stuff ther used in the war to pretend they had nylons on when they didn't - you could try that.

You could try gravy browning?
