Hi all,
I know nothing about eczema and skin reactions so hoping someone can put me in the right direction.
My dd13 has had eczema all her life, generally behind the knees and elbows particularly when its hot.
She has been using make up very lightly for a year or so and had wanted to incorporate a skin routine recently.
We have gone for something gentle but it's giving her a reaction like the photo. I should add that we changed her shampoo earlier in the year because it also made these red marks on her face.
She says it feels hot when it does it.
Can anyone advise on this please? Is it an allergy? Why does it not happen everytime and seems worse at the moment?
Thanks in advance.

Oh I've had this! Also had eczema my whole life.

It was bloody painful and miserable, and every time it flared up it took weeks to go away.

Steroids didn't help and are anyway not advised on the eye area. I eventually had allergen testing at the Dermatology Dept, and I'm apparently allergic to an ingredient in many shampoos (can't remember the insanely long name of it).

The only thing that works for me is a non-steroid called ProTopic - it has to be prescribed by a dermatologist though.
