Allergy to metal tooth filling

So I had a metal tooth filling in August. For the next 3 months I came up in a rash on the back of my legs and top of my arms and lower back. It was so itchy and I was applying daktacourt which seemed to help but then it would just come back. I was also taking antihistamines. And I was on terbinafine for a while.

my GP was very helpful but just said it was contact dermatitis and not a fungal reaction but was puzzled about the daktacourt working.

at the end of November I looked at all the things I had done in August and decided to have the metal filling replaced with a white filling. It was like a switch had been turned off.

my skin is massively healed but not a 100% yet. I have a feeling other allergies have emerged….

anyway I wanted to share this experience in case it might help someone else.
