Runny nose in morning

Help! I keep waking up with the runniest nose I've ever had. It's not even "stuffy" but around 530am I just wake with what is essentially a water fall coming out of my nose. My poor partner has to then listen to 30 minutes of gurgled nose blowing and coughing / spluttering. I've got no eye symptoms and it doesn't feel the usual itchiness of allergy. I'm also 32 and have never had this before, so, whilst I do tend to get an allergic response to dust, it hasn't presented like this before and why is it suddenly so bad?

This morning the left base of my nasal cavity is actually painful it's so sore.

Any ideas?

Detergent used to wash bedlinen? I keep returning to bedlinen as the most likely cause. Another theory that it might be mites of some sort. Worth buying even a v cheap new duvet and trying to see if it makes a difference? Or moving room and sleeping on an inflatable camping bed for a night or two. One night is likely to be enough to show you a difference.

No judgement in this hypothesis, BTW - we all have beds which are teeming with wildlife, if we but knew it!
