Aptamil Pepti 1 making eczema worse!

DS 14 weeks old, previously on cow and gate and from around 7 weeks had a slight mild eczema on smal part of his face.

GP thinks its CMPA, so trialling pepti 1. His eczema has got worse and spread to his hole face (previously only near his ear and around eye brow)

I'm thinking of stopping pepti and going back to cow and gate as his skin looks awful. Could Pepti 1 be causing more issues than good?

I'm stil not convinced is CMPA as eczema/skin rash was the only symptom.

Anyone got experience, did Pepti make it worse?

Try neocate, it covers more allergens

Yes I'd agree with PP. sounds like they have another allergy as well as CMPA. Have you been referred to the Allergy Clinic?

I've had the same thing.. suspected cmpa
We've been on aptamil pepti 2 for 3 weeks and in that time my babies whole face is now covered with eczema/ hives
On his old formula it was just a small rash near his mouth. I've been back and forth to the doctors the last 8 weeks and don't feel like they're actually listening.. just keep prescribing more pepti 2 and giving me creams! I wonder if I am better off putting him back on kedamil stage 1 as that's the only formula I haven't had issues with.

We had this, pepti one has a small trace of milk in it, she then met a nutritionist and had to move to an amino acid formula. I would speak to them, i wouldnt swap back as it could confuse things for the doctors.

Thank you
I will give that a try as I'm running out of patience with the doctors

Hi, did you try another formula or did the eczema clear up? My lb (4 months) is trialling pepti 1 as he had muscusy poo, a rash/ light eczema and he was constantly congested/ snotty or coughing on cow and gate. However he now has proper eczema and a rash over most of his body. I'm going back to docs next week but should we try a different formula or is the eczema not related??
