I gave my 8.5 month old strawberries for lunch yesterday - big mistake. He had had them before but only a couple of little bits - yesterday he had two whole ones. he came up in a rash about 3 hours later which seems to have gotten worse overnight. We took him to the dr in the afternoon and he didnt seem concerned but I am! Any idea how long the rash will last?

I can't actually answer your question! but as an aside, as a child I was allergic to strawberries, as an adult I am allergic to strawberry plants but can eat the fruit (no fruit picking for me!!)
Mentioned this in hospital and was told it is important to know because some anesthetics are related to strawberry plants (not sure if they were spinning a story but you never know!!)
