Experiences of link between food intolerances and behavioural issues

I am at the end of my tether with DS7 and his behaviour. The mood swings between lovely boy and one that bites me in public are getting awful. He struggles to concentrate in school, has been in trouble this week for bad behaviour and is in the ‘system’ for an ADHD diagnosis (which could take years)
he was completely dairy free as a baby due to intolerance but is fine now- however I’m now wondering is the intolerance is still there but manifests differently? I.e. behaviour and brain fog.
does anybody have any experience of food allergies and intolerances affecting behaviour? Thanks

It could be ADHD but I don't think it would do any harm to be DF for a month and see if his mood improves.

I've got CMPA and I'm a bloody miserable cow if I'm having a reaction.
