I'm allergic to rubber too! Get a kind of infected excema if I touch it. Particularly bad reactions on soles of feet and hands. So carpets/carpet underlay can be a problem, rubber gloves, loads of different types of shoes - even if soles aren't ruber the glues holding them together often contain rubber. Gym equiptment is rubber so have to wear gloves in gym. My mountain bike handle bars..... The list is endless! Its not too much of a problem though, not now they've actually found out what was causing the reactions. Just have to wear some sort of leather/cotton gloves and be careful, esp. re. shoes. The other weird thing I have a suspicion that comes under rubber allergies is chewing gum - I could swear I react to this in side my mouth! Dunno if it contains rubber though?

i had an anaphalactic reaction last night, i picked the girls up after there school play i was driving along and started itching eyes swelling ect, thought that i had been too close to someone who had animal hair on there clothing, then one of the girls shouts look at my balloon, a kid at school had given her 3 and she had kindly given them out to her brother and sister, course my kids dont understand about allergies as they have special needs, so i ended up having to inject myself, someone also brought my son a balloon modelling set once!
