Not an allergy as such, but tomatoes affect both of my children, especially dd, giving them the most explosive bottoms. I find that other foods in the same family also affect them, but not as badly unless they are combined. The typical ratatouille is totally out of the question! Tomato, peppers, aubergine and potato are all related, so you might want to be cautious introducing any of them.

Dd doesn't have an allergy to them, but does react to them. We have no family history of allergies. They don't make her ill but she does come out in red plotches around her mouth and cheeks if she has tomatoes, particularly if fresh, or strawberries.
