DD is just over six months' old and we started weaning at five months on the advice of the GP owing to issues with weight gain and possible CMPA.
DD is dairy free and gluten free (I've cut out both and it seems the gluten through my breast milk was causing diarrhoea but the dairy was causing eczema). I've also been trying to slowly wean DD from the breast as in soon going back to work so she's been on Aptamil Pepti 1 for a few months alongside breast milk.
Weaning has been going well. She loves her food and weight gain is good. However, since yesterday I've noticed she's getting a rash on her elbows only after eating or having a bottle. The issue is that everything she's eaten is stuff she's had a fair few times before with no reaction. Today she had apple, banana, oat (gf) and egg pancakes for breakfast with strawberries and raspberries - absolutely fine, no rash. For lunch she's had homemade dahl (lentils, onion, coconut milk) with carrot and green beans, followed by a bottle and a fraction of a kiddylicious wafer (dairy free and also gf) and she now has a rash - photos attached.
She's perfectly happy in herself. No other redness anywhere on her body. No wheezing, no swelling, no sickness. Just this redness on her arms (not hives as it's not raised). To clarify too, I fed her her lunch so she hasn't had these areas of skin being in contact with what she's eaten and where she has had contact (face, hands), these areas are fine.
We're awaiting a referral to the dietitian and paediatrician (though there are currently no available appointments 🙄) but trying to work out if this is an allergy of some kind or something else.
Has anyone had similar?
