Help! Ran out of sky formula what can I do?

So annoyed with myself but I completely forgot that it’s Sunday and the shops are closed, we’ve run out of soy formula for our CMPA baby.. he’s 7 months old.

my partner has been to every local shop that’s open and nowhere sells any soy formula.. I can get to the big shop at 6am but he’ll need at least one feed before then..

will it harm him to give him normal soy milk for one or two feeds?

I know it’s not recommended for babies under 12 months but is that just because it’s not nutritional enough?

help! Not sure what to do!

Could you put out a plea on your local Facebook group?

Can you ring round to see if any chemists have Neocate? We used it for dairy (and soya) allergic baby.

I know it’s been two days since you posted and I hope everything went ok and you got some more formula but just for an extra potential option in the future, the same thing happened to me on a bank holiday weekend after the GP receptionist made me feel I was phoning too often to ask for formula so left it too late to ask and I phoned my hospital that we’re under the infant feeding team at and explained the situation and they were more than happy to give us a tin of the formula we needed until I could renew the prescription at the GPs. I certainly never let the receptionists make me feel like I was phoning too much ever again that’s for sure!! Furious at them and myself for putting my baby in that position but I guess these things happen when you need formula that’s not so easy to get.
