Hello ALL

Our little one developed skin issues around 2 months ago/cradle cap/ring worm like symptoms on his belly, back and legs. We ended up one day at A&E when it was next to impossible to see our GP, and then when we finally got an appointment he was prescribed Hydrocortisone Cream 1%, Cetraben cream, Fluconazole and goat milk formula Alimentum Similac (he’d been on Aptamil ProFutura before) as if it was typical example of eczema.

But then as soon as we stopped using the steroid cream, which cleared almost everything (we have used it for 7-8 days) it all came back and much stronger. We also stopped the new formula and switched back to Aptamil (it wasn’t definitely cow’s milk and he clearly disliked it. On our initial visit to the GP practice we insisted on seeing a dermatologist, but we’re told there’s a long waiting list and so on.

We have also had some online/Zoom consultations with dermatologists in Poland/that’s where we’re from, and 3 of them, on three separate consultations told us it’s not eczema but some fungal infection and requires specialist treatment, including non emollient balms.

We’re kind of desperate now, he can’t sleep, scratching his head, belly and legs quite often.
