Chocolate recommendations - soya, dairy, gluten free 😊

Hello! Please can I ask for your recommendations for the best dairy and soya free chocolate? Ideally some nutmilk as well as dark!

Moo free/ nomo for kids or Booja Booja truffles for adults- I had Booja Booja truffles when breastfeeding a dairy and soy allergic baby and they were brilliant, by far the best substitute I've eaten- I am also gluten free for my dietary needs. Neither Booja Booja, moo free or nomo are dark, they are milky and the best non-milk milky chocolates I tasted.

I like Hotel chocolat nutmilk, but their whole vegan range is good. The Deliciously Ella chocolate range is also nice and totally free-from.

I’m dairy free and I usually go for the Aldi Monsieur Roth chocolate - the mint and orange & almond are both good but from memory both have soya lectins so not sure if that means they’re no good? Daisy and Dom also worth checking out for more unusual chocolate flavours and their smartie and chocolate button alternatives.

I avoid most of actively advertised dairy free/vegan offerings as they are usually foul. Not
a fan of Moo Free for example. All tastes a bit synthetic and joyless.

Also some of the dark Lindt and Green & Blacks bars are dairy free but you’d need to double check again on the soya lechtins.

Thanks for this. Agree - in fact it’s a problem with a lot of free from stuff, it’s so processed.

Hotel Chocolat seemed like a good option but most of the dairy free things I have clicked on have soya, can you point me to some that don’t?

Would you mind linking any Hotel Chocolat which is soya free as well as dairy free? I’ve not been able to find anything!

A friend has an on line shop selling vegan chocolate and it's absolutely amazing. Naturally Heavenly Chocolates. It's so much nicer than commercial stuff you buy

I prefer Monty Bojangles vegan truffles over Booja Booja (although I wouldn’t turn my nose up!)

Other sweet discoveries since breastfed baby went dairy/ soy free:

Chocolate bourbons are milk free, as are Oreos
Oatly ice cream
Favourite dark choc personally is Waitrose, least harsh
Justrol pain au chocolat pastries (chilled aisle)
Tesco’s free from cakes are nice
Oggs cakes
I second the deliciously ella bars

If you can tolerate soy lecithin that opens up a whole new world (my daughter can now tolerate soy flour/ lecithin but nothing higher on the ladder)

I hate vegan, gluten free, hippy anything in general but hotel chocolate and vego bars are really tasty

At least some Montezuma chocolate is allergen free, but it's pricy.

I love ombar centres, but again, they come at a price....

I'm dairy, egg, soya, gluten free & my fav choc so far has been nomo or buttermilk truffles which are exactly like milk choc lindor. Sainsbury's also had another bar which was lovely with a hazelnut centre. It's rhythm 108 vegan hazelnut truffle. Also seen a Milky Way magic stars in Tesco which is good too. As usual - none of them are cheap! Sainsbury's own dairy free mini bars of choc are soya free too. Good for a cheaper alternative.

Ombar cocomylk, it's delicious. I ate it by accident when it came free with some fabric samples!

Nomo caramel and sea salt chocolate is fantastic! I can't see any soya in the recipe.

Pricey, but I've had amazing chocolates from this lady - Shokoladi and all her products are dairy free, soy free and she only very rarely uses gluten in something which is why she says may contain but I'm coeliac and was fine
