Allergic reaction to 1 year jabs??

Baby boy had his 1 year jabs yesterday, he wriggled hard for the one in his leg and it is super swollen and red. The one in his right arm is also very very red and with hives spreading out from it the first hive appeared 24 hours post jab and then a small patch a few hours later and then a huge patch at dinnertime and now he is screaming and covered. They keep coming up and then going down again in different places. No facial swelling or breathing issues. We are awaiting a call back from 111. Is this an allergy? The only allergic reaction on the NHS website is anaphylaxis which this is not. The rash was too soon after the jabs for it to be a normal reaction to the jabs. He is beside himself and I just feel so awful that I made him go through this, they said side effects are mild :(

I took dc to the gp recently for hives. They look really alarming and I have another dc with allergy so it worried me. He basically said where it’s a rash that comes up quick and goes again it’s hives and it’s the immune system misfiring, so it would follow that hives can come up after vaccinations. My dc had a virus that caused it. The screaming probably isn’t caused by the hives, but more likely just post vaccination feeling unwell. If it’s a rash that’s staying put it’s more of a concern. Facial swelling and breathing or a rash that stays are the things to look for with an allergic reaction going by what the gp told me. Hope 111 gets back to you soon.
